1. Telegram — fastest async communication tool I've ever used. Group chats for clients, channels for product updates, bot reminders for myself.
2. Notion — every project lives here. Briefs, contracts, weekly check-ins, knowledge base. Free tier is enough for solo use.
3. TablePlus (free tier) — database GUI. Free version is limited to 2 connections and 2 tabs, which is fine when you only ever look at one project at a time.
Weekly
4. Plausible Analytics (self-hosted) — open-source analytics that respects privacy and tells you what you actually need to know. The hosted version is paid; self-hosted on a $5 VPS is free.
5. Postmark or Resend (free tier) — transactional email that actually lands. Both have free tiers under ~3k emails/mo.
